Estudios Latinoamericanos, issued by the Polish Association of Latin American Studies, is the oldest Polish scientific journal publishing material related to the wider history and culture of Latin America. Distributed from 1972 to 1995, it was issued by the Institute of History (PAN). The creator of the publication and its first editor was Professor Dr. Tadeusz Lepkowski. In 1988, he was replaced by Dr. Richard Stemplowski. In the years 1995 - 2011, the magazine was headed by Professor Dr. Alexander Posern-Zielinski, and in 2012, Prof. Dr. Mariusz Ziolkowski became its editor. The articles are published in Spanish, Portuguese, English or French. The electronic version of the magazine was founded by grants from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education and the involvement of numerous members of PTSL, including Assoc. Prof. Andrzej Krzanowski of the Jagiellonian University who initiated the digitization of the magazine archives, preparing the first 10 issues.
